01 — Engineering Studio

A
pier between code and business.

BytePier is a small workshop for software development and DX. We translate intent into code at a resolution that specs alone can’t reach.

02 — Services

Two pillars. Built to fit the business.

We go beyond “building what we’re told to build.” We join the design stage of the business itself. BytePier focuses on two kinds of work.

Software Development

We build business apps, internal tools, and web services from the ground up. We start small, learn fast, and design architectures that surface the data business needs for decisions.

  • Web applications (React / Vite / Express)
  • Internal tools & business SaaS
  • APIs and backend design
  • Data modeling around MariaDB

Digital Transformation

Digitizing legacy workflows, redesigning how work flows, migrating off old stacks. We observe the actual flow of work before writing code — separating what should be automated from what should remain human judgment.

  • Workflow discovery and mapping
  • Process redesign and automation
  • Incremental legacy migration
  • Internal dashboards and operations
03 — Approach

Small, fast, and honest.

BytePier competes on density, not headcount. A small team and TypeScript end-to-end keep the distance between decision and implementation as short as possible.

P1

Conversations over specs

Instead of thick requirements documents, we use working prototypes as the medium of conversation — minimizing the time misunderstandings can linger.

P2

TypeScript end-to-end

TypeScript from frontend to backend. Types are the best documentation we have, and the only safety net worth trusting during refactors.

P3

Cloudflare native

DNS, CDN, Workers, Pages, Tunnel — we make Cloudflare the backbone. Less infrastructure friction, lower operational cost.

P4

Avoid over-design

Concrete code for today beats abstractions for hypothetical tomorrows. We wait until a pattern appears three times before unifying it.

04 — Works

Work that runs quietly inside businesses.

Most of our work is internal business software — it doesn’t make it to the homepage. Here are abstracted sketches of what we’ve shipped.

CASE — 001 HR / Payroll

Payslip delivery system

A monthly payslip flow that used to run on paper and email, migrated to a secure web app employees open from their phones. Operational overhead dropped substantially.

React Express MariaDB Cloudflare Tunnel
CASE — 002 Automation

Internal operations dashboard

Consolidated data that was scattered across spreadsheets into a real-time operational view, shortening the feedback loop for decisions.

React tRPC MariaDB Cloudflare Workers
CASE — 003 DX

Legacy core system migration

Incrementally migrated a 10+ year-old core system to a modern stack without stopping business operations.

TypeScript Express MariaDB Cloudflare

05 — About

About BytePier.

BytePier is a small engineering studio focused on software development and digital transformation. The name combines "Byte" (technology) and "Pier" (a dock, a connection point) — our purpose is to build dependable connection points between technology and business.

We work in small teams and commit deeply to a single project at a time. We compete on density, not scale. TypeScript across the stack and Cloudflare as our infrastructure backbone keep decision and implementation as close as possible.

We work in Japanese, English, and Thai — cross-border engagements are welcome.
